The San Jose Wolves are seeking interns who are willing to learn in a hands-on atmosphere, the day-to-day workings of a professional sports organization in the areas of Football Operations and Business Operations. The following open positions are:


FOOTBALL OPERATIONS
On gameday, the football operations department acts as the nerve center of the team. The ideal candidate will be an intelligent, nimble and team-oriented member of the Football Operations Department. He/she will have a "roll-up the sleeves" attitude and a "hands-on" style, the flexibility and adaptability to be able to change direction rapidly to meet the dynamic needs of the AIFA.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
•Support weekly Game Operations tasks
•Support weekly discipline/appeal process •Maintain daily/weekly updates of player discipline database
•Maintain departmental correspondence log •Support weekly credential assignment and distribution •Assist with departmental administrative duties


BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Interns would be on a job rotation system and will be learning all aspects of Business Operations before placed into a specific field of choice:
- Inventory control
- Purchasing

CORPORATE SALES POSITION

The Wolves are looking for someone who is highly goal oriented, entrepreneurial, corporate sponsorship manager. The candidate must have excellent presentation skills, be a great networker, and excellent with follow-ups. They must appreciate the sport and communicate a compelling reason for a corporation to support a sport organization. The candidate should have either worked in sponsorship or corporate relations for a non-profit, or worked at an advertising agency in corporate partnerships.


SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
· Ensure the successful creation of a business and corporate fund drive by developing strategies to attract and retain business/corporate donors at all giving levels especially from $1,000 - $10,000.
· Research corporate prospects for possible sponsorships at all levels.
· Schedule meetings of the Corporate Committee.
· Arrange calls and meetings for appropriate Board members/volunteers and senior staff (or self as appropriate) with current and prospective donors for the purposes of cultivation, exploring funding options, direct solicitation, and providing updates to enhance existing relationships.
· Cultivate and steward business and corporate donors.
· Assist development officers in preparing solicitations/proposals, supplemental materials and thank you letters for corporate prospects and existing sponsors
· Ensure corporate benefit requirements are implemented including signage, logo placement, block seating, special promotions, talking points, receptions, and all sponsorship related recognition/benefits.

MASCOT

The Wolves are looking for a very energetic, self-motivated, and fun loving applicant who enjoy working with children. The individual hired must be able to attend all home games and community events.
