Wolves' Attack Too Much for Warriors in 82-50 Win

BOX SCORE

YAKIMA, Wash---Sometimes it takes a few games before a football team clicks and puts it all together.

Saturday night the San Jose Wolves clicked and pulled away late en route to an 82-50 drubbing of the Yakima Valley Warriors at the Yakima Sundome, extending their season opening winning streak to four games.

The offense improved upon last week’s solid effort as quarterback Omar Jacobs split his six touchdowns evenly between receivers Reggie Eubanks and A.J. Bennett, finishing the evening with 319 yards passing while connecting on 21 of 34 passes.

Fullback Marvin Brown punched in four touchdowns on just eight carries for 64 yards and Marcus Harper returned an interception for a touchdown as time expired to cap the scoring.
Ben Hansen had an excellent night kicking the football, booting through the uno kick on four of his nine extra points to finish with 13 points on the evening.

While the defense allowed a season high 50 points, the Wolves still outscored the Warriors in every quarter, pulling away with a 30-14 fourth quarter when San Jose scored twice in the final second as Jacobs found Bennett for the third time before Harper returned the interception.

The San Jose Wolves continue to be the hunted in the Western Division when they travel to Caper, Wyoming to take on the defending Western Division Champion, Wyoming Calvary Friday night, April 16th at 7pm.
